Rob Faber

Rob grew up playing a variety of sports and went on to play Division-I lacrosse at Sacred Heart University. After graduating from college in 2002, he began teaching and coached high school lacrosse. Rob believes that helping teenagers work to their fullest potential is an on-going goal.

As an elementary educator and father of three young children, Rob has had the opportunity to teach multiple grade levels and coach primary through high school level sports. He follows the philosophy of “in order to teach you, I must know you.” Rob makes it a top priority to know his students’ strengths, weaknesses, and interests,  making him a more effective teacher and coach.

After finding CrossFit in October of 2011, Rob has witnessed the connection between his philosophy of teaching and the philosophy of CrossFit.  Most of all, he has learned the value of failing. He constantly tells his students that failing is the best thing they will ever do. Rob believe that from failure comes learning, and only through failure can we truly appreciate our success.

Scott Montemerlo, CrossFit Endurance Coach

Scott Montemerlo is CrossFit Revelation's Endurance Coach.

Scott grew up on the shores of Connecticut playing a variety of sports, with a love of running always in his blood. Scott began running at a very early age when he and his twin brother would head out for runs with their father. In both high school and college Scott was a member of the cross country and track teams.  He was captain of the Cross Country team during his senior year at Connecticut College. After a long break from running, Scott participated in his first triathlon just three years ago. Since then Scott has competed in two additional Olympic triathlons and many 5k and 10k races.

Scott became a member of CrossFit Revelation in 2013 after his beautiful and super strong wife, Elizabeth, convinced him to give it a try. Scott used the skills he has learned from CrossFit and applies them to his CrossFit Endurance classes. Scott teaches that in order to be better at any endurance sport you must first improve technique, focusing on intensity, and finally volume.

Outside of CrossFit, Scott is the District Manager for Teknion covering all of New England. In his free time Scott likes to cycle, watch soccer, play video games, root for the Oregon Ducks and Miami Dolphins, play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with his daughter Scarlett, a beginner CrossFitter herself, and hang out with his amazing wife.

Certifications:

  • CrossFit Endurance
  • Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College

Scott Leonard, CrossFit Coach

Scott was born and raised in New York state along the Canadian border. In this frozen area of New York Scott found his passion for ice hockey and the outdoors. This quickly translated into becoming very active in sports of any kind and the drive to stay fit. This drive continued into a college career in Ice Hockey and includes a National Championship. After College, Scott stayed involved in sports and athletics for 30+ years in various facets; coaching, father, and athlete. Scott continues his interest in athletics and fitness in his continuous efforts to coach ice hockey and lacrosse.

Scott served as an instructor at the Connecticut State Police academy for a three year tenure. He continued his education in the fitness realm and helped train some of the finest most dedicated men and women in law enforcement. Scott along with a couple other instructors began to transition the Connecticut State Police Academy from the traditional cardio/calisthenics style of physical fitness training to a more functional fitness style curriculum. Scott is now returning to the Connecticut State Police Academy to become the Recruit Coordinator.

Scott began his CrossFit career in 2008 in a “self-taught” atmosphere by following crossfit.com. He quickly realized that the core values of CrossFit for fitness mirrored his own. After trying other avenues CrossFit was a natural fit for someone who enjoys pushing their limits and being part of a close community.

Scott took this new found appreciation of fitness and CrossFit and dove in head first. Scott joined CrossFit Revelation in 2010 and has since gotten his Level I Certificate. Scott has added this to his teaching repertoire. Scott brings a positive energy to his teaching style and strives to help all levels and ages of athletes in both their CrossFit experience and overall fitness goals.

Cullan Manley, CrossFit Coach

Throughout his high school and college life, Cullan felt himself being gravitated towards an active lifestyle and always in search for that competitive atmosphere. Upon graduating high school in 2011, his next step was attending Springfield College majoring in Exercise Science. Throughout his four years at Springfield, he grew to have a passion for learning about the body, and how to apply his knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques and methodology to what he does.

In Cullan's second year at Springfield, he was introduced to Crossfit. He immediately fell in love with the ideas behind Crossfit, and the constant variance of functional movements. The more he thought about it, the more Crossfit intrigued him and had him 100% hooked.

Since then, Cullan has completely engulfed himself within the CrossFit community, and has loved every second of it!  Coaching has been such a rewarding job, seeing people come in on day one, and each and every day see them progress.
